You know the feeling, you’ve been to the conferences, spoken to the vendors, you might even have some funding, and now you have decided to deploy some form of AI into your Radiology Practice. But how on earth do you do that! The Radiology Manager gave you a painful look and told you to speak to IT, the Head of IT told you to speak to the PACS Manager, and the PACS Manager said s/he had no idea. On the other hand you may well be the PACS Manager, and feel you need to be better informed on the subject after very difficult conversation with your Clinical Lead who thinks you can put it in next week.
That’s where this blog comes in. Fundamentally, deploying and managing any form of AI can be complicated and frustrating if you don’t know what you are doing, whoever you might be. This blog will set out the fundamental concepts in a relatively untechnical way, and then give everyone in the Radiology AI Community the opportunity to add their own thoughts and answer questions related to the various topics.
Hopefully, this will create a community that can promote the greater use of AI in Radiology by providing straight forward practical advice from experts who have been through it all before.
